Me again

New 'Went the Day Well' Composition

A family friend, John Cockburn, has just sent me a recording of a song called 'Went the Day Well' that he has composed and recorded. One of his daughters, Sadhbha (pronounced Sy-va) is the lead vocalist and I love it. Both he and Sadhbha are happy for it to to be loaded onto this site, so here it is.

John is going to send me the original score and I hope, then, to get a few friends together to perform the song sometime later this year with Sadhbha, A levels permitting!

The photos, all taken in Richmond Park at one time or another, have nothing to do with the song but I feel that the blog is incomplete without something to look at other than my mugshot!

Holiday photos

There just does not seem to be enough time to do anything nowadays and I have found it very difficult to sit down and write something for the site. We have now managed to raise over £23,000 for H4H (over £27,000 when you take Gift Aid into consideration) and I have now resigned myself to the fact that this is about as much as we can expect to make....... unless we start on a new project!

Whilst I think of one I will leave you with a few photos from a variety of places taken at different times over the summer holidays.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to our fund-raising project. Your generosity has been overwhelming.
