Blue

With all four boys now living away from home Mary and I have adopted Tom’s new puppy, a blue merle border collie with heterochromic blue eyes, aptly named Blue.  It is like having a new baby in the house albeit one that passes extremely rapidly through life’s early stages.  Within three months we have left behind potty training and the ‘terrible twos’ and now have an adolescent who pretends that he no longer understands what is meant by ‘sit’, ‘stay’ and ‘come’.  Whilst we brought up all four of our sons with a rod of iron, we find ourselves much more likely to spoil Blue and his bowl of treats in the kitchen is always full to overlying; his favourite is a Yak’s milk chew…... very Barnes!
